Warren Spector is a game designer known for creating games which give players a wide variety of choices, and have consequences for the player. He is best known for the critically acclaimed video game Deus Ex that embodies the choice and consequence philosophy while bringing together elements of the video game genres first person shooter, role playing game and adventure.
Spector co-produced Ultima VI and Wing Commander, produced Ultima Underworld and Ultima Underworld II, Ultima VII Part Two: Serpent Isle, System Shock, and Martian Dreams, among others. After leaving Origin Systems as a producer, and Looking Glass as a general manager, he founded Ion Storm, where he oversaw development of Deus Ex: Invisible War and Thief: Deadly Shadows. He later joined Disney Interactive to work on Epic Mickey.
He is a creative consultant for OtherSide Entertainment, in the development Underworld Ascendant.
