Rippers are ambulatory, territorial plants that react violently to animal life in their domain. One of the fiercer natural creatures residing in the Abyss, the Ripper is capable of rendering its prey to pieces in moments. The Shamblers value Ripper bark as a growth medium for their spores, and alone among the races can tame them, while Dark Elves are partial to it for woodworking, and the Dwarves for its alchemic properties.
Ripper bark accounts for the majority of the wood used in the Underworld.[1]
