Ascendant

The Ascendant is the protagonist of Underworld Ascendant. It is assumed that this is the same person who completed the Quest of the Avatar, who rescued Baron Almric's daughter, and who defeated the Slasher of Veils in The Stygian Abyss.

You can create your own character as the Ascendant, selecting skills from any of the three Archetypes and customizing your gear and abilities. How you progress, and what you do within the Stygian Abyss, is up to you.

Trivia

• Originally, it seems that the character was to be "The Avatar", and #IAmTheAvatar was used as a promotional hashtag. This was changed during development.
