That's just the basics though. After that, experimentation to see how each spell acts on each possible target is a way bigger task (eg Create Wood acts differently if cast at ceiling), and feels like it needs community effort. I don't see a reasonable way to automate or script it.

Plan of action[edit]

As it stands today, there is a LOT more to write up here. This page is incomplete and I already know much of it to be incorrect. My plan for my next steps is:

  • [Done, 07 Jan] Copy my old forum post into here
  • [Done, 08 Jan] Go through all string tables and find all references to spells.
  • [Done, 08 Jan] Ingame, label every single one of the 200+ known spells in my spellbook.
  • [Done, 09 Jan] Write a macro to go through all 20,000+ combinations of runes to see which get added to the spellbook. No new spells found :( What we know about is what we have.
  • Search the ingame string table with debugger to find more strings.
  • Dump Unity textures and check the graffiti textures (I think they differ from the string table).
  • Find how to freeze/edit mana with CheatEngine, so don't need to keep leaping into lava every 2 spells.
  • Do some basic tests on all found spells, try on basic targets.
  • Update this page with all findings.
  • Pretty up the formatting.

That's just the basics though. After that, experimentation to see how each spell acts on each possible target is a way bigger task (eg Create Wood acts differently if cast at ceiling), and feels like it needs community effort. I don't see a reasonable way to automate or script it. DewiMorgan (talk) 07:23, 10 January 2019 (MST)
