Skill Shrine
Update34 1.jpg

The Skill Shrine is a proving ground, presumably where the Avatar can advance their skills.

Lore[edit]

Several shrines could be found throughout the Stygian Abyss during the Avatar's visit to Sir Cabrius' fallen colony. Using a mantra at a shrine would provide a method of increasing their skills, if enough experience had been obtained.

Likewise, the Avatar must learn several mantras during the course of the game; below is a list of all the game's mantras (though the Avatar does not have to try to learn them all).

Of note, the mantra for Unarmed can be found on a plaque on Level Three, listed as the "mantra of the desperate".

Previous Appearances[edit]

  • Shrines were used in the Avatar's first foray into the Abyss to train skills as a form of character advancement.
